Penn Parish Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
Thursday 13th March, 2025

The Penn Parish Neighbourhood Plan is our opportunity to say what we value about our villages and how we want them to change in the future. It tells planning authorities what we want them to consider when assessing planning applications.

The Penn Parish Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared by a working group of representatives from each of the villages and members of the Parish Council. In addition to the Neighbourhood Plan, a Design Code has also been prepared.

Our Neighbourhood Plan and Deign Code have been through a thorough process of review and examination by an independent examiner appointed by Buckinghamshire Council. This process is now complete and on 13th March people living in the Parish have the opportunity to vote on whether they would like the plan to be adopted.

The referendum will be a ‘General Election’ style vote, with booths at the following Polling Station locations:

Knotty Green Cricket Pavilion

Holy Trinity Church Hall, Penn

Penn Street Village Hall

Winchmore Hill Memorial Hall

The polling stations will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm on Thursday 13th March.

If you have registered for a postal vote, you will be sent one by Democratic Services, at Buckinghamshire Council.

This website gives some background to the plan, a summary of the proposed policies, along with a summary of the design codeThe Parish Council also commissioned some research on housing needs in the Parish and a Housing Needs Assessment has been prepared.
